Details
This gorgeous light blue decade rosary dates back to about the 1960s, maybe even a little older. They come from a private collection of a priest who left many treasures in a storage unit that was auctioned off to the highest bidder, in early 2000 and now they have made their way to Love and Honor Jesus! You can see some of the age in the metal pieces. They were safely wrapped in paper envelopes that actually disintegrated as my husband and I looked through them! We hope they will find good homes with all of you!
How to Pray the Chaplet of the Immaculate Conception
1. Holding the Miraculous Medal, make the Sign of the Cross: "In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen."
(It is customary to kiss the Medal after signing oneself.)
On the Miraculous Medal: "Blessed be the pure, most Holy and Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
2. On the first single bead, the Our Father prayer: "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen."
3. On each of the first group of four beads, the Hail Mary prayer: 4 x "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen."
After the fourth Hail Mary, the Glory Be prayer: "Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen."
4. On the second single bead: "Blessed be the pure, most Holy and Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary."
Then the Our Father prayer: "Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen."
