Artist's Statement:

The Armor of God, from the well loved passage in Ephesians 6. My kneeling knight, while nicely alliterative, I drew to be symbolic - our strength and protection are truly from above, and we are most safe when on our knees. On the knight's armor are written each of the spiritual attributes from Ephesians - the helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, shield of faith...can you find all six? :)

This piece makes a fantastic, memorable First Communion gift - "draw your strength from the Lord" is such a fitting scripture! 

This piece was not generated digitally - all images and words were drawn entirely by hand on Bristol paper using archival ink pens. Color was added using watercolor.

Prints are are sold unmatted. They are professionally run by a small, locally owned print shop on bright white, 100 lb sustainably forested, acid free paper. Each print is signed in pencil by the artist (me), with the date and name of the piece written on the back. They are carefully packaged in a protective plastic sleeve with a heavy backing board, and shipped via USPS in a photo/document mailer. 12x18 inch size is shipped carefully rolled in a sturdy shipping tube.
