Stations of the Cross for Children Cards Artwork

The Stations of the Cross - a beloved Lenten meditation for generations. The tears of children - and their mothers - offer a novel way to focus on the set of prayers. Travel with Jesus as he walks the Way of the Cross, and look at him through the eyes of the children in each illustration. Mini-meditations on the backs of each heavy-weight card create a complete set. The words from the closing prayer of the traditional Stations run through the backgrounds of each image, "We adore you, O Christ, and we praise you, because by your holy cross, you have redeemed the world." The number of each Station is in Roman numerals on the cross within each painting, and on the backs of each card as well.

Sets include 16(!) full color illustrations and 16(!) full-color backs. They are available double-sided, with the meditation on the back of each, in hand-lettered text with a soft watercolor background. The 14 traditional Stations are included, along with a cover/summary image (all 15 Stations) and the 15th Station, the Resurrection of Jesus.
