These prints are all 5x7s. Symbolizing God's transformative love for humanity, the Sacred Heart has been a devotional focus in the Catholic church since the 11th and 12th centuries. The Immaculate Heart of Mary has its roots in scripture, particularly in verses such as Luke 2:19 - the text of which winds through my drawing. While it currently remains a private devotion (not a liturgical veneration), St. John Eudes spoke of the Chaste Heart of St. Joseph as early as the 1600s. All three of my drawings tie together relevant scripture and the traditional images associated with these meaningful representations of God's love brought to life.
Singly or as a set, these make a lovely gift for priests, non-profit directors or staff, teachers, those in religious life, or homeschool families.
